E92 335i oem brakes

The newer lci brake pads (2011?) seem to dust less on 335is and other models compared to the pre lci brake pads which dust like crazy. Has anyone confirmed that these pads from a say 2011 335i fits on an earlier model like 2009? I couldn't find much on the forums but I think one person mentioned that a dealer installed new pads that dust less

Whenever I have questions like this I spend some time with realoem.com and do some cross referencing. Lookup up your car and a newer car and see if listed brake pad pt#'s match. Usually they have revisions listed so that may explain the pad revision.

If it means anything I have heard the same thing about the pads in the newer cars having less dust. I believe BMW switched the pad material to include more ceramic, I believe they should work as the pad dimensions never changed.

I think you're better off getting aftermarket ceramic brake pads if you want less brake dust.

Agreed, but I would say the updated OEM pad is the best in between alternative than going full ceramic. I have the Akebono's and I can say there are times when I do miss the bite of the OEM pads. Typically its the first hard braking moment when they are cold....

The updated OEM pads do dust much less, but they also have a lot less bite compared to the old compound.

They should fit older models no problem since the caliper is the same.

That I don't know. I haven't driven a 335i with M3 pads. I only know that they fit. For feel you are better asking in the M3 specific forums.
