Couple of little mods today.

I finally got, and installed, matte black kidney grilles and a split armrest.

With the matte black kidney grilles, Vader's journey to the dark side is complete! I got these from ECS Tuning, and the install was simple and quick.

The split armrest took me about 15 minutes to install. The DIYs here helped a LOT! This is a great mod, and BMW should have this as standard equipment on all their cars! I got this from ECS Tuning. It's the leatherette one to match my interior.

Cheers!

I was thinking about that armrest myself but they can't match my coral red interior and it would look like absolute shit

Way ahead of you, heheh... I'll be getting a replacement set shortly. I've had those plates since 1991.

Cheers!

The good thing is, its only his license plate border that appears to need replacing. Get a nice one from ebay. $20 max.

Whoops, looks like you edited your reply as I was typing mine. These are genuine BMW, and the Black Sensatec one I just installed matches my black Sensatec interior perfectly, so I'd say that if you have Coral Red Dakota Leather interior, and you get the Coral Red Dakota leather split armrest, they will match.

Cheers!

Garage List
Grills make these cars look much better. I had the same grills on mine.
Add the amber overlays on the lights FTW.

I was planning to pull the trigger on those split armrests a while back but it's just too pricey for a bit of extension for my restless arms.

How do you like them so far?

It's a subtle, but noticeably more comfortable difference. Especially on longer trips, I used to have to keep my right arm further back to get on the stock armrest, now, I have it in a more natural position when the armrest is pushed forward. Definitely a worthwhile mod, in my opinion.

Cheers!
