sorry for the lapse in reply. but as explained to me by a vendor rep while i was on the market for a euro switch to operate my rear fog a couple months back, that switched wouldn't work for fully operation for xenons. now if i was given wrong information then do apologize

Not to give a vendor a bad rep, but many vendors will mislead a potential customer to make a sale themselves. All I can tell you is that no headlight switch I have used or tested in my has failed to operate my Xenon headlights, nor have I noticed a loss of driving light. I'm using a euro board dated from '06 and have no issues at all. Zenons work, auto on works, auto wipers headlights on works. I have traced out all of the circuits on the headlight switch board. See below. Having Zenon or not, unless perhaps you use an '05 or earlier board. They will fit and work, they are pinned out differently.

So is mine, I have an '11 335i e93. I swapped out my OEM switch and installed the old one with no changes what so ever. My adaptive Xenons work the same now as they did with the OEM switch.

I do try my best to give answers that are from knowledge and testing. If I don't know, I'll tell you that too.

In the E46 world the adjustment feature could be coded in with PASoft. I'm wondering if it can be done in the E9x world as well. If so, this would be a very cool feature to have.

I can't speak for earlier models, but I have worked on over 50 of these boards and there is nothing that differs on these boards except resistor values, and they are used to keep the brightness of the LED's constant around the board.
The boards are dumb. Anything that allows the Zenon to work or not work, is done outside of the switch. There is only a rotary switch, LED's and resistors on the board. No programmed chips or any other type of controlling device. Don't listen to heresy out there. Look at the facts.
