BMW Tacoma is reputed to be the best dealer shop.

Strictly BMW in Bellevue and Eastside Bavarian in Issaquah are my choices for indies.

Not to mention many of us are happy to help, depending on the car. Over time many of us have accumulated all the special tools, etc.

If you need some work, put up a note. A lot of us are happy to throw down if you bring the beer

Oh, well. www.bimrs.org and www.bimmershops.com

I use Strictly BMW in Bellevue (near Bellevue BMW), and Eastside Bavarian in Issaquah. Both great shops, and $50/hour cheaper than Bellevue BMW. There's a place in Auburn (Auburn Foreign Repair IIRC) that my brother has used.

I only work with Oscar there in service. He understands my car's. If he isn't there I can't trust anybody else.

Vouch for I.S Garage. Went there when they were still in Renton, Ian gave me a ride to the Landing to kill time and picked me back up when he was done. Superb service

Hey all, on a related front, looking for a shop actually in Seattle, anyone use import doctors or fat city?
BMW Seattle quoted me like 4k for some oil filter gasket and something else....
Thoughts? Anyone use BMW Meister from Facebook, is he reputable?

What do you need done besides that filter housing gasket? That job is easy as pie. I'd do it for a tiny fraction of that.

Chekc out DMI auto care. Dmitri is great with fair prices. He used to work at the dealership and very recently opened his own shop so he's very well versed with our cars

Guys thanks for recommendations. I talked to Ian at IS Garage today for auto transmission service. His quote was reasonable and he seems to have good knowledge of the whole thing -- no maintenance BMW auto tranny

Anyone gotten the transmission service from him? Anythings to watch out for? Planning to do pan-filter, gasket, sleeve, ZF lifeguard6.

I did it all myself and I used the LiquiMoly fluids and it was a piece of cake. Car shifts so much better. Did mine about 10k back and I'll do a 2-3L refresh in about another 10k just to keep the wear low on the internals.

I highly advise using the LiquiMoly synthetics. I've run it in multiple cars/platforms and I have been amazed at how good it is compared to the usual suspects.

Hey guys reviving this thread, any of you guys know which shop is tuner/mod friendly? I'm trying to get my turbo's replaced I have 8k miles of warranty remaining and I have the dreaded wastegate rattle and it has been getting progressively worse.

Thanks!!

Eric's import and domestic in white center area.

Very fair prices and good quality work. They work fast and get you in and out other than some places that try to milk the hours. If you go there tell them someone with a red 335i transferred you! They have done so much work to my car!

I have had my fair share of indie shops and no one seems to beat their prices and quality of work.

If you want turbos installed, down pipes, oil leak issues etc.. I would recommend them

Thoughts on the best tint shop? Does not have to be in Seattle but reasonable drive is fine.
