failed factory underseat woofer? or channel frm amp?

As i was wiring up and installing aftermarket lc2i, amp and sub in the process of checking sub signals i noticed the pair going out to my passenger seat sub wasnt getting any readings i then checked at woofer for any sound and non hence why no signal....how do i determine if the woofer itself failed or if the channel signal out frm amp side is the issue...i have a top hifi logic 7system setup...

it was a *typo*

"how do i determine if the woofer itself failed or if the channel signal out ***frm amp ****side is the issue.."

i misspelled meant to put *from* not frm

i meant "or if the right channel out (right subwoofer) *from* amp is not sending out any signal may be the issue" in other words if amp is possible problem

Both under seat woofers should measure about the same number of ohm.s
If you measure it at the connector at the amp (with the connector disconnected)that also checks out the wire .
itself. If one side works and the other does not if you reverse the wires for the sides
from left to right it would tell you if the problem shifted that the speaker on the non
working side was not the problem .

How are you tapping signals for this amp maybe the lci is loading the signal.

I take it the second measurement it 8.9 and there is a segament missing
from your meter . The difference is to great. I would take a measurement
at the speakers if approximately the same resistance is measured I would
suspect the one with the larger measurement is bad, Or could the taps that
you put on have cut the wire to much on one side causing high resistance
and a partial open.

So I would disconnect the taps so see if things return to normal
as a next step. You wouldn't have to necessarily take them off
as first pass at the tap location but at least disconnect them at
the LCI. If things return back to normal then there is something wrong
with your hook up Or the LCI . If you have two channels running into the LCI
you could also exchange the hookups at the LCI to see if the problem
stays on the same side.

I've already done that and there's nothing wrong with the way I set up the components the problem was the amp earlier I went to the local junkyard and found an exact amp for the car and swapped it out coded it and all is working now so the issue was the amp

opened it up ealier and saw some broken solder joints and some weak ones which prob was the culprit...resoldered and hooked it back up and working.... but i put the replacement back that i got today only because its newer...and ill have my original as a back up unless i end up just upgrading the amp and just sell the factory ones if i were to end up upgrading
