Help! Do I need a new Oil Filter Housing Gasket?

I just bought my 2007 e92 335i. I noticed a small amount of burnt oil puddled on the oil filter housing. I changed the oil and the filter, and the oil I drained out was pretty burnt (I let it drain out for over an hour and even ran new oil straight through to carry any old oil out). I cleaned up the puddle of oil on the filter housing, and it's come back, but it still looks like the old burnt oil.

Im assuming this is an Oil Filter Housing Gasket issue. Im not an expert with the N54 Engine but hopefully some of you who are can help me out!

To me it looks too far away from the mating surfaces to be the OFHG. Have you checked the filter cap is fully torqued down?

Mine used to puddle there, you need to do both gaskets. Oil cooler and oil filter housing gaskets.
Next to start leaking f they aren't already will be the valve cover & the sump gaskets.
Also if oils been leaking onto the serpentine belt it should be replaced as oil contamination can cause it to come off & be ingested through the front seal....and that's very bad
