HAHA, very true on what you say. Seems like I need to have a sit down conversation and get educated on what you know. I'm like a sponge when it comes to these cars. I'd probably get whiplash riding in your car based on your modlist but hey i'm willing to see what it's like.

You should come out to the track next time. Things will start picking up in the Spring time. We either meet up at Sac Raceway on Wed nights or once a month do a NASA/NCRC raceday at T-Hill or Infineon. You will meet lots of BMW enthusiasts from our area.

Oh, Happy Holidays - did anyone get a new toy for the car?

Hey guys, hope everyone had a great Xmas (for those who celebrate it) or a great weekend (for those who don't).

Since I'm getting my Koni Yellow's installed tomorrow, been trying to figure out what settings I should go with. Been researching this and obviously everyone has their own preferences, but it looks like the majority prefers 1.5 turns front / 1.5 turns rear (from full soft). Just wanted to know if anyone has any input on this?

Also, I just got a class action settlement letter in the mail related to the HPFP failures. Looks like these two guys are suing BMWNA because of the FP failures and turbo-lag. Anyone else get this? Looks like you get $100 for each FP replacement by the dealer except for the recall replacement. Just got my car's history today and mine was replaced 3 times.

^

I got my Koni's set to 50% all the way around, works good for daily driving and light track use.

Good to hear about the HPFP's....that should be $300 for me

i set my Koni to 75% all around... a bit rough ride but you'll get used to it =)
also it really depends on what is your spring rates too... if you have a softer springs, you can set the dampening to softer side.

Yeah, got it done last week at Radial Tire on Cottage Way. I paid $350, including 4-wheel alignment. I don't think anyone could touch that price!

First impressions - Awesome! Driving around town, I definitely feel more of the road. But I didn't begin to truly appreciate the difference until I had to floor it on the Westbound on ramp (Watt to 50) to pass some old dude in an AMG V12 doing 30. The car felt much more in control around a hair-pin turn and the body roll which I had gotten use to is practically gone. I feel like I have more control of the car now. Not to mention the car looks much sexier lowered!!

Next on the list: Rear M bumper - M sway bars - tune.

I'll do it for you for some beer if you don't mind driving to Lincoln. Should take roughly 1 hour. Shoot me a PM.

I love that place, they do my tires. That's an amazing price, I'll look them up next time I do anything suspension related. Definitely get a tune next, only then will you truly appreciate the car's potential. I highly recommend Cobb if you have no plans for meth, if you do plan on doing meth down the road, PROcede all the way.

^ I was just in your neck of the woods (Lincoln) over the weekend. There's some great driving to be done on those back country roads!

As for a tune, I'm either going with JB4 or Cobb. I'm still researching the forums and keep going back and forth. I have no plans for meth. Maybe intakes, but that's about it.
