ECS never called me back. I called again and got a person within 10 minutes. I asked how come you’re taking my call but you haven’t called me back. Crickets. How come my order was shipped smartpost when I paid for ground. Crickets. How come my items said ships in 3 days yet took 5 days to ship. Crickets. How come you say smart post takes 5-7 days yet it’s going to be 8, assuming it’s not pushed out again. Crickets.

It seems as if ECS has steadily been declining over the past few years...

I'll stick to FCP Euro or other sources.

Yikes. Hopefully Turner doesn't follow suit now that they're a partner company with (or owned by?) ECS. So far so good on shipping to me. My intake boot came SmartPost to Alabama in about 5 days and my giant boxed race pipes actually arrived in about 3 days. Both shipments arrived a day before they were scheduled to arrive. USPS does kind of stink sometimes but it is what it is. 2018 and about 80% of people out there seem to not give one damn about their job or doing the right thing.

ECS

I have been ordering from ECS for years and I have made some relationships with the guys there and some gals in customer service. They will help you, get you refunds, and rush things to a point. Are they perfect? No, but no one is. It depends on what time you call and who you get on the line to help you. If you don't like the person who you are talking to ask for someone else. They have a reduced staff at night. Be nice, explain your issue, and order intelligently. Call in and ask questions before you make an online order that is time sensitive. My two cents for what it is worth.

I've been ordering from ECS since 2008. They are a POS on price and shipping now. I pretty much order everything from FCP, which is farther from me and gets here faster with free shipping.

I have had issues with every single BMW parts retailer. It happens and it is part of any business.

Last part I ordered was a diffuser for my 335i, 23 April. it went smart post and hit New Jersey on the way to my Army post office... If it goes through New Jersey it will be on a boat... Minimum shipping time is 45 days if it is on the boat. My scheduled delivery date is 15 June...

fedex smartpost is the worst of fedex and the post office combined - I complained last time they used that junk for their so called free shipping and basically stopped using them - fcpeuro has been better and I almost only use the, get it UPS ground in 1 day as they are pretty close to me and have the lifetime warranty (I do think they also sometimes use smartpost or the UPS equivalent, but they are almost always cheaper and with the warranty I am sticking with them)
