So far so good.
Rear bumper started to sag around the tail light area. Have no idea why, will take it off and see what’s going on once I’m back.
Hood, fender and bumper lines are very bad. Also, side skirts paint shade is off. I would take it back to the body shop.

The hood throws everything off.
It’s fiberglass so fitment was not near oem. It was worst before. I moved the fenders around to get them as close as possible.
Side skirts did come out too white. Paint shop tried to match it but didn’t do well. Needs more black and yellow. I may repaint them later.

I think when I screwed the board to the wall, it was too close and I couldn’t slide the hooks wouldn’t slide into the board.
I screwed 2x4s to the studs and then screwed the board onto the 2x4s.
2x4s were either screwed on horizontal or vertical.
Some ideas to help you mount it!

In and out detail and a coat of ceramic wax. Last June, I applied Mother’s CMX and haven’t had to do anything since today. Held up nicely, and paint was still very smooth. Enjoying platinum bronze more and more each day.

My wife is getting very comfortable in her Monaco Blue E90 328xi Sport which replaced her totaled E82 128i Sport. Myself, I couldn't get comfortable with the pre-LCI "moustache" grille, so I got a cheap Shadowline set off Amazon and installed it. Much better!:

That looks great on Monaco Blue! I would have done the same but the contrast would be too much on Alpine White. Additionally with my borderline OCD I'd have to black out ALL the chrome on the vehicle or it would bug the hell out of me.

Luckily we're starting with a Sport Package so the only chrome left is the model designation on the trunk. I had some Shadowline tailpipe tips hanging around which fit perfectly over the naked exhaust pipes BMW (cheaply) provided on the E90. The next to tackle may be the pre-LCI back-up light triangle on the tail lights. Thinking a tinted overlay might be the best solution there.

Finally washed my fathers after the shadowline trim install; I wasnt sure about the high gloss mixed with the matte but its still wayyy better than chrome.

Almost at the full M-sport package replica (PO nicely started most of it for us)

All of my door panels are set up. Just need to screw them together. Cannot wait to see this interior back in finally. The door panels have been stripped for MONTHS.

Anyone here with a m3 rear bumper installed?
I can find oem m3 photos showing the stock mounting points, but CANNOT find any info on conversions.
I’m assuming a custom bracket is needed to mount it, but how low or how high should that lower center part of the bumper be? It has quite a bit of play.
Do you have photos? I have the “rear end conversion” but it is not OEM m3.
If it's a 335, he would have to do a muffler delete or get other mufflers that will fit & alter the direction of the exhaust pipes.

well since the amp decided that I wasn't going to have a radio this week I proceeded to tear apart the rest of the trunk and install a combox today.

It's physically in the car and no smoke came out.
Tomorrow I'll code it.

still can't find an amp locally. Gonna have to ebay it and that sucks.

Did my trim in black metallic over the weekend and it looks SO much better than wood that I’m kicking myself for not doing this right after I got her. It’s my first attempt and took me three tries with the rear storage lid because of the cutout around the chrome bump but I think I got pretty decent by the end. Biggest PITA was getting the center vents off the big dash piece and my inability to get rid of air pockets at the 90 degree angles. Both pairs of thumbs and index fingers were very sore with all the pressing, pulling and pinching but it was all worth it. Definitely not professional looking but something I can live with. I had enough square footage left to attempt the mirror caps but not with the way I was cutting the 2x5 roll. I’ll probably buy a 1.5x5 roll just to try and gain a bit more experience with wrapping curvatures.

Still waiting on the transmission cross member, but the CarPlay retrofit from Bavarian Automotive shipped all the way from the UK faster than a cross member coming half way across the country through the dealer. Installed it in a couple hours, lots of banging my head against the dash figuring out cable management so that the head unit would fit back in. Very happy with it, has all the functionality and performance of the MMI Prime from BimmerTech, but at half the price.
