Many here with M3s wish they had a Porsche Macan. Some here with 335s wish they had M3s. I for one have a 335i and don't. Forget something better, whatever in your mind you think that may be, forget it and enjoy what you've got.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but you drive a BMW 328 and You stated "335i is like a Civic or Corolla". YOU ARE BEING SARCASTIC RIGHT ??? IF NOT, You might want to go slip on your Fantastic Four onesie and yell "FLAME ON !" Last edited by BryGuy11; 08-28-2018 at 05:38 AM.. Reason: 1st Amendment |

Having driven more or less every modern BMW out there, the Z4 is an unfortunate case of BMW really missing the mark. It's not terrible, but it's also not that great. And for the price? No thanks. I don't mean to shit on anyone who owns and loves one, but for this jabroni to suggest that a 335 is somehow the far inferior, lesser sibling of the Z4 is kind of, well, retarded. And to suggest that slapping an M badge on anything other than an M car whose badge has been stolen (likely by this jamoke, to put on his Z4), is doubly retarded. And I genuinely try not to just throw that word around....

If you car is not a M235i or X4M or X5M or a even a proper M (M3, M4, M5 etc.) then it should not have a ///M badge unless its on the wheels, door sills, steering wheel, or rear license plate frame. So if I see you with a 335i and you put a ///M badge on the trunk I will judge you lol.

If the 335 is a Corolla, then I'd have to say the 328 is, at best, a Tercel...

(328 = Camry, 335 = Corolla... hahaha!!!) It is pretty funny how this M badge thread devolved into a 335 is better than 328 thread. I wonder why that is? Last edited by Biginboca; 08-28-2018 at 03:14 PM.. |

Joking aside, none of what I said had the slightest thing to do with 328 vs 335 -- I couldn't care less (for realz). This is about some guy's asinine comment that a 335 is essentially a Civic or Corolla. Which, lets be honest, is a pretty f*cking dumb thing to say unless it's said in jest. Not because I'm an E90 fanboy who thinks it's the greatest car ever made; it's because I think we can all agree that:
The best car is the one you have!

No matter what car you have, someone else will have one that's better.
Trying to dress your car up into something its not is stupid. BMW doing that at the factory by sticking M body kits and logos all over entry level 3 series BMW's is equally stupid. ... As is Ford selling a 4 cylinder mustang. I often get asked "ooohhh that's a //M car isn't it" (Mine's a de-badged 135i with the tri-colour kidney grill). I always say "no, it's not a real M. BMW just gave it a ///M body kit. They do that to all their cars now. I've done alot of work to it, so it is as fast as a M in a straight line, and just as much fun to throw around. But no, it's not a real M." That said, most people think modifying your car to make it go faster or handle better is pointless and stupid. (why didn't you just buy a 'real //M' to begin with).... so each to their own I guess. Last edited by xQx; 08-28-2018 at 06:45 PM.. |

I say NO, if you like the looks do it and the only way someone sees it is if they're getting into your car and if they complain, KICK EM THE FUCK OUT of your car and tell them to have a nice WALK. |
