can chiller in arm rest
Hi all sorry im being a bit lazy but how does the can chiller actually work? is it only when the A/C is on?

It works when the A/C is on, and the temperature and air flow are both controlled by the adjustment knobs on the rear console for the rear air vents. There's also an air-flow override switch in the armrest - the little sliding black switch enables or disables air-flow...

There's no way I drink in my car anyway, making the drinks chiller useless!

.....and its now been removed on LCi models
(along with the ipod storage wallet under the armrest that used to come with the 6FL option ) (oh and the storage nets on the back of the front seats ) (.....and the torch in the glovebox ) |

pretty useless feature if you ask me. I wish they would just put a real cup holder before the armrest (where the i-drive knob goes) for those without i-drive.

I got the storage nets. I didn't get the torch, though.

the can chiller is very useful I have it on the 535d and its great having a nice cooled red bull on those long journeys.

Dito here, I always keep a can of Red Bull in their ready cooled when needed. I also use the 12v socket in the glove box. I wouldn't have been happy to trade in for a newer car and it not have these things.
