E90 330d CCC Options

Hi, first post here!

I've had my 330d for about 5 years now and my CCC has gone faulty for the 3rd time. First time I sent it of to be repaired, that lasted about 12 months. Second time I bought a second hand one from someone on the Facebook E90 group and that's failed now.

My options as I see them now are either replace the CCC drive with another second hand one (cheaper option)

Or

Upgrade to the CIC drive, which after a short amount of research is looking like £800 and some stuff which I might not be able to do! Personally think that's alot to spend on a basically 15 year old car for a few nice to have's

Anyone got a lot of knowledge about this subject that could shed some light or assistance.

Been offered 2 replacement CCC drives on Facebook but both over what I would want to pay for them (£300 and £180)

How about getting some nice Android device instead? You at least get some nice perks like better satnav and internet access? Might be more expensive than £300 though.

The only thing with the android additions is that the base idrive system has to be working, so kinda back to square on otherwise I would jump at the option!

Did you ever get this sorted? I've replaced my CCC unit with a second hand one but I have no sound. Ive tried coding with NCS EXPERT but nothing changes. I'm curious to know what you did in the end?
