might be o2 sensor.
any mods (exhaust or chip)? are you the original owner? some emissions related items are covered for 80,000 miles or 8 years. http://engine-codes.com/p0140_bmw.html |

I tried to tightened the hose too but the error code keeps showing up. The error code only shows up at a cold start (usually at the morning).
The only symptom I see is that sometimes I feel a kind of a little shake from the engine while stopping in light signals, never felt that before this error code. Other than that everything else looks fine to me. Any help? I can't find much help regarding this code. |

I have replaced the hose, assuming the new gasket would take care of the job. I’m not sure how it can be tightened due to the nature of the connection going towards the manifold. Dealership says the pump is fine. I hear the pump working upon start up. I have ordered a relay replacement in hopes that it will solve my problem. Had to get an inspection waiver after no mechanics, including the BMW dealership could not figure out the issue. SMB! (Save My Bimmer)

I replaced the "Secondary Air Injection Hose - Pump to Valve - 11727557910", about a month ago and I was hoping that his will fix my problem but still the same error code is shown.
I can hear my secondary air pump works at the cold start-up too, and that's when the SES light is shown. It's good to mention that, if I drive my car directly after the start-up at high rpm without warming it up, it will for sure give me the error code the following morning but if I give it like 5 minutes warming up and then another few minutes driving at a lower rpm it could take days before the SES or the code shown again! I know there's a problem for sure and I was planning to take it to a mechanic but now I'm disappointed as you said they couldn't figure it out! Please SMB! (Save My Bimmer) |

I am looking for voltage on my harnes going to the secondary air pump and getting non. Some one has the same issues with this tipe of cars I just install a 40 A fuse on f70 that didn’t have before, now the fuse is powered but the harness isn’t getting power, is a other source of power that activate this pump?
