Unhappy N54 MHD flash (Mel CBD)

Hi all,
I have problems flashing my BMW.
here's what happened:
-I have unplugged the battery to reset the DME because I have failed to flashed it. And I have tried to flash it for a couple of times after plugging the battery back and it's still not working.
-Can someone please help me
Cheers

Everyone has eBay cables.

What's the issue?
Where does the error occur?

If it was your first MHD flash, did you have the car on a battery charger?

Did you do a backup of the stock map? You can flash it back to stock and try again, i had the same problem the first time, the cable was an issue for me.

I'm not able to flash back to stock as the MHD told me that my backup file has corrupted. They advised me to flash it to Stage 0 instead.

When I flashed stage 0, it showed 'ffffffffff' and failed to flash it

Why don't you try hooking up a battery charger.

I had a similar problem where my cable went bad even after several successful flashes in the past.

It is not my first flash, I've been flashing for couple of times with no problems. I'm not sure is it something wrong with my battery lol. I have VRSF charged pipe and Catless Downpipe installed. I had the car on battery charger

Once it failed to flash, the windscreen wipers gone crazy and the dash lights started flashing. I have to waited for a bit to let the car reset or something to get the key out.

I have left it charged overnight for the first time. I'll charged it till 100%.

And I'll see how it goes.

If your not doing a full write (40min) you shouldn't need a battery charger hooked up.
I assume when you say you have flashed many times before this is just a 2min re-write?

If that's the case the cable is probably your issue....many ebay cables seem to work a few times then all the sudden stop working.

Hey guys, I'm able to flash it when my car is fully charged. It still took me 2 attempts for 40 mins and 2 mins. The first attempt showed HW:FFFFFF... and it failed after 100% (incomplete). Whereas the second attempt is the rewrite flash that took me 2 mins, and it worked afterward

The symptoms you had with windscreen wipers etc is of incomplete flash and normal.

It will be very easy and quick now.
