Best Silicone Boot?
Consensus on the best Silicone Intake Boot? Turner for $61? Rev Motoring?
Down to two items left before I tackle a 3-Stage intake manifold installation. This month. The Boot and Bimmergeeks cable I'm ordering this week. |

I have the Mishimoto one from ebay (think it is similar to the Turner one). It seems to fit much better than the Rev Motoring I installed on a friend's car. Both do the same thing, but the Rev Motoring one just seemed a bit more annoying to get to seat right on the intake manifold side.

I have the Turner one...but I have read that the Mishimoto is basically the same piece.
I stayed away from The Rev one after reading about fitment issues.

They're all going to be a pain in the ass to install. The trick is to loosen the airbox, install the boot and vigorously tighten the silicon hose clamps BEFORE tightening the airbox fasteners back down.

I have a Turner. It's been installed for about 4-5 months now. Nice fitment with throttle body. The only issue is it doesn't have the small notch cut out. However a hard clamping works fine.

If not you'll get an obnoxious vibrating noise from the engine compartment. I tried to troubleshoot my air box for a good week before I took it apart and started again. I'd also add to make sure the silicone tube is pointing a steeper degree than you'd want. It makes fitment onto the airbox imprecise but a nice tight clamping works just fine.

I've had the RM hose for about as long as I've had my car. It was a little fiddly to put it on but I haven't had any problems.
Any of these hoses are honestly fine, they're all basically the same. |

Rev Motoring here as well. All I had to do was file the locator nub on the throttle body's plastic coupler
probably the standard case of "one factory in Taiwan makes these and 5 different people put their names on it" Also once you get the thing installed and heat cycled a few times, it'll form to your car. Mine fits like factory now.
