Lci paddles on lci base model car
I have a 2011 335i lci with the base model steering wheel with no paddles. My buddy is selling his m sport steering wheel coming off of his 2011 335i lci m-sport. What would I need to add paddles to my car? Is it as easy as buying the BMS paddle retrofit kit and plug and play? Or is it more to that like soldering something with the paddles?

Hello Tony: You'll need the Burger wiring kit: https://burgertuning.com/products/bm...esift-retrofit
That gets you to pre-LCI. Then, do the soldering that is described here to your LCI paddles: https://www.n54tech.com/instructions...dification.pdf I have converted LCI paddles using those instructions for my '09 e91, and it is a worthy upgrade. I did not need the Burger kit so cannot comment on it. I have not seen a cabling kit that goes straight to LCI paddles with no soldering. |
