Yes you can. I’m using Eldor 12138657273 coils in my N53b30.

Didn't know that. Thought they'd be incompatible in the same way as injectors. Just bought a set of six from a BMW dealer and they are still Delphi. For non-turbo'd engines like ours I doubt Eldor would make a noticeable difference over Delphi. Incidentally RealOEM says the part number you quoted for the Eldors has been superseded by 12135A06753.

If you go on RealOEM I think the same coil part numbers are shown for N52, N54, N55 and S55. The only engine I didn't compare parts was N53 but I'd put money on them being the same part as well.

Nope. I checked RealOEM and the coil listed is Delphi. There is another one also listed but when you click on it, it says part No. not found.

I think it’s the same coil I got from BMW. I forgot to mention that you have to modify the connector.

Thanks bro. The modification is complicated or not? Can I do that in the garage?

It’s just a matter of cutting extra slot with a knife. It’s clear when you compare two coils plugs.. Instruction is somewhere on the web. I can’t find it now. I did this over a year ago.

When you compare the plugs you will see where to cut.
