More aggressive front-end

Hi all,

I've had my 2011 335i M Sport for almost 2 years now and starting to feel the front end is a bit lacking. I'm thinking of getting white (maybe LED?) angel eyes (instead of the factory yellowy ones) and/or a different kidney grill.

The only problem with the grill is that I love the black ones on any colour car (particularly with blue) except on black - and mine is sapphire black. I think black + black might be a bit too much. Are there other colour grills, like gunmetal? Or perhaps black grill but with the border still in chrome?

What do you think on both the grill and the angel eyes? Anyone else with a black M-sport that has upgraded either and can share pics?

Here is mine currently:

Cheers

Hmm have you considered the stock 335is grille? I have a bsm/black car and i actually went with the pure gloss black m3 grill. But my stock grill is black border with chrome only on the front "stripe" of the grill. PM me if your interested and I'll take some pics

Black grills and a lip should do it. Removing the fogs would look good too.

For the grills I would suggest going gloss black or just painting the slats gloss black and keeping the frame chrome.

As far as the AE's go, white AE's all the way!! Oh yeah, color-matched reflectors are a must as well

Black grilles, color matching side reflectors, umnitza v4 led angel eye rings with blacked out housings, and a lip/splitters. Maybe replace the fog lights with some brake ducts

Definitely no m-color grills. Lip and gloss black grilles should look nice. Maybe leave the grill slats chrome for some contrast.

Thanks for the suggestions and photos. Some nice looking cars there.
I really like the look of that 335is grille. Darker more aggressive look without there being too much black. Is it possible to get that for the e90 335i lci?

For the AEs, would you go with leds like lux, or are there cheaper white replacement normal bulbs? Going to check out umnitza.

About the lip, I love the look but worried about it being impractical... Catching on things, getting scratched/cracked, etc. May do in future but will start with the other stuff

The grill is two pieces. Use the gloss black outer grill and keep the silver slats from your current one.

My suggestion for an easy and not too expensive mods would be black grille and front lip like Game said. However, then next step would be either new front end (bumper) or going with upgrading the headlights.

Does the 335is have the standard chrome slats then? From the pictures I've seen they seem reflective on the front part but darker on the sides (sides of the slats). It's hard to tell from photos as it could just be the lighting.

Which grill is it? Is that just a normal gloss black grill? It looks good - the black isn't overpowering which is what I'm concerned about.

They're the BMW Performance Grills. It looks like a gloss finish.
