Looking forward to your review! I'm holding off the install with my kit until spring.

Make sure you have a 19mm strut socket. I think that's the measurement. You can get them at ECS. Without strut socket, the job will be difficult unless you have a tall O2 sensor socket.

Also, note the b8's in the kit have their own bump stops. They are built in the struts & underneath the blue dust cover on the shocks.

Thank you! I do have a 19mm strut socket thankfully. I did not get a replacement bumpstop for the rears either.

How was your install? Do you have torque values at all you could share? It's been awhile since I worked on a BMW

Bilstein B8 for E9x AWD top strut nut is 22mm size. A 20v impact and holding the shaft worked fine for me to install and remove the top nut.

No problem. Just go slow when tightening the top nut and don't use an air impact...I'd say no more than 100ft lbs is all you need. Otherwise you risk over torquing and snapping the shaft which I have done on a Bilstein B4 strut. 5-6 threads is what will be visible when fully torqued.

Biggest thing is using the right torque settings when tightening things up. Use a Bentley Repair Manuel. I know it's $100.00 brand new, but I can't tell you how many times it's been a god send.

Question? Should I buy new end links? And is there any other parts that I'm going to need for the install..Just want to be ready when it warms up out here 🙂
