330D FLASH, Times

Hi all, can anyone advise what 0-100 Kph and 1/4 mile times a Flash tuned 330D e90 Auto would achieve?

Would it be comparable to a stock 335i?

Thanks.

PS: posted this thread as well: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=710900

may get more hits here.

Some figures off two sites for plug-in boxes

Kw Hp Nm
Series 180 245 520
Tuningbox 216 294 626
Benefits 36 49 106

Kw Hp Nm
Series 180 245 520
Race Chip Pro 230 313 610

so based off those figures you're above a 335is TOQ way above. Stock 330D does 6.1 to 100km so with a tune maybe 5.5. stage 2 if out there could be a lot better. Very close to a e92 stock 335i.

you getting a 330D?

If I can get similar performance compared to a stock 335i, then yes I'd get
the 330d, as for the same money as a 5 year old 60,000km 335i a near new 330d can be had.

It's for my wife, she has had Golfs GTI and R as well as Sti's etc and she likes the speed, do a low 13 sec 1/4 is the kind of performance she wants.

Cheers.

i suggest take a test drive of a 330D, see what you think. you will have to spend some cash to get close to a 335i. not sure about ECU flashes on them think i heard current models are ecu locked.

given the tuning options available on the 335i (from what i see here) I dont see the point of spending thousands to tune a 330d to stock 335i performance.

before and after dynos of the specified gains would be nice, but ive never seen one for the diesel making me skeptical.

Its not just about how fast you got, it's how you go fast
The 335i will be such a different car than the 330d to drive.
I think fast diesels are boring compared to petrol engines which you can hear screaming

OP if you got a 330d I'd be happy to do a tune for you with a money back guarantee. Before and after dyno can be done as well if you want to come to Sydney otherwise I'd travel to Port Stephens and use that as an excuse for a weekend getaway
