Excuse my ignorance but what is the difference between concentric and hub centric?

Thanks,

Hubcentric means the centre hole of the rim is a close fit onto the protruding hub on the car - the hub centres the rim, and the bolts (or nuts) secure it.

If the centre hole of the rim is larger than the hub, or a spacer without a hub is used, then it becomes bolt/stud/lug centric, where the rim is centred by the bolts.

Hubcentric spacers have a protruding hub, similar to what is already on the car, so the rim can still be centred correctly. They also have a recess on the opposite side, that fit over the hub on the car. Hubcentric is better than bolt/stud/lug centric, particularly in high stress situations - ie track.

Thanks for that, I was aware of the hubcentric, just not the concentric which i'm assuming is what the bolt/stud/lug centric is?

Ok, I've never heard of concentric wheels / hubs, so no idea.

Looks like the reference to "concentric" is gone from first post now, maybe a typo.
