Does this happen when driving or just in neutral?

On the most recent attempt, the pump started running before I even started the engine. I think it dumped way too much meth into the charge pipe and it may have starting pouring out from where the charge pipe meets the supercharger. I had a lot of methanol on the ground after like 50 feet, but no leaks from any of my fittings. I'm not sure why the pump turns on before the PSI that I set the controller to start spraying.

It sounds like it starts the second your ignition is on. So your switched 12V or whatever you tapped in to is actually telling the pump to turn on and the controller is not doing it's thing. Your meth tank is probably 1/2 empty by now Ideally you want the meth to NEVER spray during daily driving. It is just a waste of meth and does nothing for you. Where is the controller getting the boost reference? You really want it in the intake manifold as that is what the engine sees, what is in the CP is not.

Ok, Christmas is here early and car ready for pickup. We kept it conservative a dialed back the redline initially hence numbers could been even higher. We are at 350 wheel hp 290+ torque. This will be like a new car, and can't say enough about the shops work, the title should be changed now on the chat since they really did some magic to our platform/setup. I need to get new tires now! Huge thanks to Zack and Ian who I dealt with start-to-finish, and could not be more impressed. Now, less talk from me and time to drive!
Cheers! Edit: posted the wrong graph, before versus after, and will get it up soon and trying to find a good quality one. Also in summary, shop added AA headers, koni sport, new smaller pulley, new custom tensioner due to belt slippage, new n54/55 clutch, water-meth injection, in trunk concealed tank, new gauges (meth + AFR), lowered rev limit to 6,750 (phase 1), and lots of programming/dyno tuning. Finally, if shop sees this hopefully one of them can pipe in on all this work, in more detail, since I don't really don't know wth I am talking about!

Here is some better graphs, and some evidence that the I am not the best to speak for what was done to my car!
From the shop: "I realized I didn't provide a correct graph. I provided an uncorrected base run versus a SAE corrected final run. Your final figures were 352/296, uncorrected. Plus 350+ whp is a nice marker. Attached you'll find your sheet. - I saw in your thread you posted a screenshot we sent from early on, and I'd like to add a few points of clarity. The dyno was not properly calibrated for that run. We are using roller speed and a ratio to calculate back engine speed. You'll notice the redline rpm there was close to 6k meanwhile every other run is the 6750. This is something we fought with every run. Something between the open differential and the worn tires made it an absolute terror for keeping consistent runs. We had this car strapped down more than what we would normally do for something even in the 700WHP territory, and it was still moving laterally all over the place. I had this car on the dyno maybe 6 times now, incrementally playing with things and I have runs (calibrated correctly) that show upwards of 380 whp, sheet attached. I was not able to repeatably produce these runs, whether it be from heat or grip. The ~350whp runs we displayed on your sheet were very consistent and we left these targets in the ecu. I would love to one day revisit this, I think it is possible for us to push the numbers a bit further, but I think where we are at is a great stopping point. I believe at this time this is one of the higher, if not the highest horsepower, supercharged N52"

Even boosted, peak HP is about the same RPM. Plenty of boost pressure available above 6500 RPMs but the power dives. If the head flow was an issue, I would expect the power to crash sooner. BTW, great numbers. The car should be a blast to drive. |

If you follow that dyno curve it sure looks like it would keep going up right past 7k. To me it looks like there’s still 20hp (and maybe 30+) still left there without changing anything else. For reference, the Green is a 3IM dyno and the red is a N54 manifold dyno. You can see how 3IM peaks early around 6500 while the N54 will keep making power going right past 7000. Noir has a N54 running with his set up I believe but he’s not as squared away as Seattlesquash with the tuning and Meth yet.

Looks great man, and really happy to see that dyno. The car must be a riot, I’m sure it was worth the wait!

Here is where we put the water-meth pump and reservoir, and added tensioner/idler pulley. Gauge pod is made out of billet aluminum... looks way better than the ATI had found prior, and custom made by a friend of the shop owner and tuner, Zack. Cheers, and of course the rain is pouring as I get it back - classic!

Did anyone try setting the intake cam at a new base angle like Hassmachine discussed years ago? Would require a custom tune but that should not be too hard. |

I have been doing lots of driving, and really like the new and improved... been burning through almost a gallon of water-meth already! the extra torque makes for a way more fun daily.
