Lowered car scraping driveway… ideas?

I have a not too aggressive stance with Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks. But with the CF Arkham style front lip, I scrape the driveway so badly coming in and out each time. I don't have issues driving around town or with speed bumps. My driveway just has a bad angle. I have to take the driveway at a sharp angle and it still catches the bumper. Do you think putting wood planks down would help? What do you guys do? I have CF skirts, rear diffuser and rear fins so removing the front lip would just not look right.

You want to have to use ramps to get into your driveway everytime you go in/out? It may work but that will be insanely annoying.

Its likely your driveway angle so you have 2 other options: raise the car or remove the lip

Lower car further.

If you can't drive it in then you don't scrape it = problem solved.

I'd first get some of that lip guard so you're not destroying the underneath of your carbon fiber.

Then yeah, planks in the trunk and pull 'em out when it's time

Get a pair of 2x4's and make ramps. My friend in SF had to do this for his 911, would otherwise destroy the lip.

Griot's Garage has a Curb Bridge, fits Rolled Curbs.Rather expensive at $400.00 but if you're doing that much in damage to body work it might be worth a look. Looks like it weighs 200# when assembled.

www.griotsgarage.com

Look under garage + more, then flooring

I had this issue visiting my family.. I didnt notice but the front bumper caught on the driveway when reversing letting the belly pan front fall under the bumper..

I heard a scrap hitting bumps on the highway so pulled over and found the issue.. Fixed that and was on my way.. Dropping the pan later found that the car ate half a tire thread, it was bizarre and luckily didnt do any damage. (I am stock height btw)

So be careful, either dont use driveway, get new car or move.

So I don't have any firsthand experience with these, but the reviews look good and fakespot reviews show A which means most reviews should be legit ones.

I have the same issue as my driveway is on an incline, however it's not the incline itself but the curbing the city used. I just have to hit it at an angle in order to avoid scraping.

Post a picture first.

In my Slammed Mk1 TT in Wisconsin I never had issues. Take things sideways.

We sold the "Expensive" ones a few years back. They work, but I would not overpay.

How much is the "expensive" version of this? $100 for this product seems like way too much to begin with--a sentiment expressed by many reviewers.

Might as well just get a few pieces of high density plastic and use some 3M double sided tape to achieve the same result for 10 bucks.

Air suspension would let you lift it up to get over stuff like that. Pretty pricey though

I have considered going that route. How's the ride quality compared to lowering springs/shocks?

Out of the box my setup was pretty compliant. Went from OE sport suspension, to H&R Sports on Koni Yellows, to a final splurge on air. It's more supple compared to the H&R setup on Koni's, but it's been too long I don't even remember what it rode like with OE sport

There's pros and cons like everything. I love the adjustability with being able to change ride height on the fly. However that also changes your spring rate when you adjust height (higher pressure = higher spring rate => less body roll, lower pressure = lower spring rate => more body roll). It has quite a bit of lift and drop too, so you'd be surprised what you can get over

The shock body is threaded so you can adjust the lower mount height to get the setup you like. It doesn't ride like a new Mercedes, but it performs well and I'm happy with it. It also makes towing way easier, although I may be the only one who tows with their 3'er lol

I'd try to find someone local who you can ride with to see how you like it
