Well first NCS was ALL in German, and it said to drag the update folders to replace the original folders into the C Drive. That sorta worked, but i had to specifically go into the NCS folders and grab the files from there, that made it mostly English.
Then i was told in the instructions that i had to update the SP-daten file under NCSExper folder and E89 folder (since i have an e90) and i tried to do that through "BMW Coding Tool, and every time i went to update it, it said the folder was not a valid SP-daten folder?
Its just frustration, because i am doing everything i am suppose to do in the instructions. I dont know if its a problem that i have Vista (vista is a joke) or what it is?

For the e89 Daten folder, are there any sub folders (supposed to be)? If you would like, I can do a remote session to get it lined out for you.

Bump, I'm having the same "not a valid sp-daten file" error. Any help on the fix?

Make sure the folder you're selecting is the unzipped version and the child folder are:

cfgdat
data
daten
ecu
format
kmmData
sgdat

Thanks Joe, I figured it out. I'd unzipped the files in a Megasync shared folder, for some reason BMW coding tool didn't like that. When I unzipped them into their own folder everything went smoothly. Frustratingly updated the e89 daten didn't solve my problem, still have the "chassis is faulty" error, ugh.

Edit: Although, in the unzipped e89 daten file there's also a "work" child folder, something to be concerned about?
