1. The wiring DDE is different on 335D usa. The wiring above is for 335D euro.
2 A 330D / 325D 6MT e9x drive shaft and diff or a hybrid drive shaft is required. 3.Diff 335d is shorter 2.81 but its can work a lsd, the better is a diff 330d / 325d 2.35 . 4.It is necessary to code the removal of the code s205 and to make a specific engine mapping. I can provide you with the mapper but you will have to code yourself and inject the map. 5. RWD less complicated I think. |

reading with much interest. read the parts list on the e46 m3 smg swap to 6mt just for fun over the weekend. mine is 2003 m3 manual ... talk about a lot of parts...
i see this project as a challenge due to: not easy to pick up 330d manual transmissions in North America diff needs upgrade or different final drive ratio computer / ecu / dde update and recode... drive shaft needs a custom unit? I completed the engine swap and broke two critical pieces on my auto 6 speed trans zf 6hp26 (or whatever is on my 2009 335d) and in process of buying a used trans just to replace the two broken bits or just swap out and keep the original for spares.. or repair then resell?? i also bought a 325i Touring 5sp rwd manual two weeks ago for the price of the transmission! soooo not overly impressed. At any rate, my plan is to repair 335d and put back on the road. |

I know it’s been a while since anyone has posted on this thread but I never saw any information on who did the coding for RS DAVE. Does anyone have any contacts for who did his coding? Thanks in advance

Ugh why bother that’s a huge job and it will really depreciated your car - I wouldn’t want to touch it after the conversion

FWIW I'm looking to build an E61 335d but looking at doing an 8 speed swap. Just in the very early stages. Gotta get a couple other projects wrapped up first. |

hahaha, true.
its not a 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano 6-Speed conversion https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...tb-fiorano-40/ some will try, I saw a 09' E91 , mid-equiped, questionable wrap, stock N54 swap , 6mt, 170k km . 25k$. I cant find the add anymore, but doubt the owner got his 25k$ |
