Tire/size suggestion for 18in style 437 wheels
I ended up hitting a massing pothole on the highway in PA with both passenger side wheels - subsequently the whole car vibrates when driving. Took it in and all 4 wheels were bent, the passengers side very badly.
For better or worse I decided to go from my stock 17in wheels (2011 bmw e93 328i) to 18in style 437 wheels. Size : 18x8.5 (F) & 18x9.5 (R) Bolt pattern : 5x120 Offset : 35mm (F) & 35mm (R) Hub Bore : 72.6mm They're from eBay, but look nice and I'm willing to take the risk that they'll do the job. My plan is to try to repair the stock wheels and then put winters on them for when it gets cold. I'm probably going to get the tires put on the new wheels later today. Most importantly, what tire size should I be purchasing in ordered to not have any issues with speedometer, rubbing, etc. Any suggestion for brand/type of tire? Runflat vs Non-runflat. Thanks!! |

Good looking wheel. Those from sammy9store on ebay??
I've been looking at those for my 2014 F31. I'm running Conti DWS06 on a BMW 189 18"staggered wheel set......works great....but you guys get foul snow/ice weather......

I recently switched rear wheel widths (8" - 10.5") and had no clue which tire size I needed. I was mainly unsure about the sidewall height. Check this site out: http://www.willtheyfit.com
You put in your current wheel and tire information, your new specs, and it shows you a diagram along with the difference in measurements. That way you won't wind up with tires the wrong width or diameter. Good luck! |
