Cool Continental DWS 06 Review After A Switch From Continental SSR RFT!

Thank you Tirerack for offering the best price and convenient check out option for local shipping and installation!

A quick list of pros and cons for those who don't have time to watch the video.

PROS-
-100% better than SSR Run Flats when it comes to quiet ride comfort and improved ride quality over all.
-DWS means 10/10 performance of dry, wet and snow covered pavement
-Longer than average thread life
-Really good price! Under $600 to replace all tires!

CONS-
-A bit more body roll on the twistes which is too be expected with non RFT tires that naturally have a softer sidewall. But my Kumho Platnum LX had better steering and cornering feel than these DWS06.
-Sidewalls are not that pretty and can look a little bloated on stock 17" rims.
-It could be in my head but my car feels like it is accelerating slower, with more rolling resistance (car slows down quicker after lifting foor of gas pedal), than when I had the RFTs on. Also my braking is not as sharp on dry pavement.

Well you got the all season tire, should have gone with the DW for max performance.

You can't get 10/10 in all 3 categories with one tire.
Dedicated tires is the way to go. Summer tires and winter tires.

I live in a hilly town Upstate NY. We get snow more months than sun. I don't have the time, budget or space right now for dedicated tires

I know. It is just everyone south of the Bronx calls anything north of Yonkers UPSTATE NY! After 10 years I just gave up explaining to NYC Boro people and non-NYers I don't live Upstate NY!

So for purposes of this thread lets just say I live in upstate NY...lol.
