M5 smg Shift knob

So I've seen motive mods has this for 384.99

I've also. seen the diy involving splicing wires n such. But is there a cheaper way to achieve this without doing that much work? Sounds lazy I know lol, but time is at a premium these days.

Also may just do the e46 m3 knob since it appears to just slide on top. Anyone have experience/pics with that set up?

It's a BMW, it's either cheap or easy, never both. I had this in a previous 335i and I really liked it. It looked fantastic. My car is actually one of the pics on the website, the one with brushed aluminum trim. http://www.motivemods.com/BMWRetrofi.../mm-sst-m3.htm

Yeah after pricing a m5 shift knob in acceptable condition and the time needed for the wiring. I might as well just buy the plug n play kit.

May do the e46 smg knob with mt boot since that seems like the easiest. But I really like the illumination of the m5 knob.

The looks of the M shifters blow the steptronics away. One of my favorite interior mods. And I believe when I sold it I got just about as much as I sent.

Looks good and no wires.
