So a little update.
When i had the m3 steering wheel and m3 paddles fitted sadly the paddles didnt work. I was told it could be that the car doesnt recognise the steering wheel switches / buttons from the m3 wheel. Kinda strange really as the volume buttons etc worked...just the paddles that didnt. So off came the airbag and steering wheel trim. I swapped the m3 steering buttons for the ones the car came with and it worked. So now m3 paddles are fully functional. I prefer them to the standard paddles...i like the idea of one side for up and one for down rather than being able to change up or down from either side. EDIT: It was the great Makkanno who made the suggestion about the buttons possibly being the problem. Hats off to him once again! Last edited by gaza01; 03-18-2014 at 01:47 PM.. |

Over last weekend and yesterday, i fitted BC coilovers and couldn't be happier! The ride is good...much better than i expected and the drop is great. Still got about 11mm more drop possible if you wanted to slam.
Fitting coils is straight forward with the right tools. The hard part is knowing what lengths to make the springs / coils / droplinks BEFORE they are fitted to the car. So basically one side (back and front) took ages as this was the learning side. Next side I flew through! At the moment its just a tad bit too low so i'll be raising it slightly then getting the alignment done. Just waiting for it to settle properly. Currently have them adjusted 8 clicks from hard at the front and 14 clicks at the rear. |

What wheel offset are you running?
I'd be putting a spacer on the rears, and adjusting the coilovers so that the top of the tyre sits in line with the bottom of the arch. The wheel in the pic looks quite tucked in.

Wheel offsets are 35 all round. 10mm spacer at the front and 7mm at the back. Thanks! Quote:
The wheels are zito 935's. They may be for sale soon if I can get my hands on the rims I'm looking for for winter. |

I would of thought that you would want airbag on with a front facing kid / booster seat? Anyway looks like you've got it sorted - nice build !!
