Combox coding ! Fun inside !

Needed to see a VO from a half working one. Thanks.

Just retrofitted it and can't read combox. No functions work.

I had MULF+TCU

I am thinking there must be another VO option interfering with Combox from working maybe $6AA?

I had a mulf 2 hi series only - no TCU

Yeah could be a combination issue where one is incompatible with the other ...
could also be a wiring issue as well this thread has my pinouts

Tried removing 6AA right now, still didn't work.
Got rid of my SOS Malfunction. Still no combox functions. Radio and HDD music play just fine.

I think bad combox.

Yes, for the 100th time lol it's driving me insane why it's not working.

Everything is wired correctly.

I followed this pin out diagram then crossed referenced with yours it's 100%.

maybe try removing everything combox or mulf related from the VO exceot 6vc - let the car go to sleep and see what that does ?

Here is a goofy option, you are doing a FA write to frm and cas, try sg codieren to frm and cas.

you do not need to code frm and cas if you do not need teleservices
you do not need to write fa to cas and frm to get functions working
the first thing to check is use inpa functional jobs on e9x body and get all ECU ident job to see if module answer
after that you can try to code options

Thanks, yes I tried this also Combox does not appear in list of modules which is why I'm leaning towards bad module.

Try this:

Start ncs in expert mode
F1
F3
Choose vehicle
Cas
F2
Choose vehicle
Type in the US VIN (17digits) mark "checksumme berechnen"
Add all SA you Need (or retrofit)
Klick OK
F6
F4
Choose CIC
Klick OK
F3 wait untill cic restarted
F1
Choose Media
OK
F3 wait about 2minutes
F2 Choose FGNR_schreiben
Ok
F3
Now the combox have US VIN

In Media:
Telematik_vin Must be Set to
Coding_vin in *.MAN

Than
coapiReadSgProFsw klick 3 Times "ok" than exacute Job "sg codieren"

After coding swich off Terminal 15 and swich it on again.

After this in tool32 "media.prg" you will See new VIN
And the bluetooth Name is Set to new VIN

In tool32 you can Set Bluetoothname to what Ever you want.

After all coding is done
In cic menu Connected Drive you have to Update Services.
After this it should became Internet in availible Services .

I haven't done any coding except for VO and merging my cic and combox trc with the ones posted earlier. My combox is from US and still has its VIN as far as I'm aware

Ok so at the moment almost everything is working except i can't see playlists in spotify .
When i plug the phone in to the armrest USB i can see album art from spotify and Apple music which is great but the only playlists are from apple.
Bluetooth audio streaming is great phone calls all great
I have tried to update the combox to the latest bin file but it doesn't see anything plugged in ??

Not working though is
SMS and email notifications< the office menu only has contacts
Connected drive where the car tells the phone consumption etc etc and apps don't come up on the screen

Here are my current FA, Combox and CIC TRC files(as PDFs)

Any help or advice is appreciated - Please mention if you have either coded this yourself or you've seen it working in an e92. If you've read it on the forum then please post a link ... Ive searched and researched but have never got a handle on what it is that I'm missing ... so close i can almost taste it !
