I was brought up to believe the "number two" rule was to quite simply wipe until clean. Has certainly helped me to keep skid marks to a minimum.

Veg mate fact is 335i are in for fuel pumps, injectors, coil plugs, wastegates and
unfortunately sometimes turbo's pretty regularly!

Still a great car!

How about we ask the pilot of a single engine airplane if a fuel pump failure causing the propeller to stop moving is an engine failure or not.....?

It isn't. You'd switch to the reserve tank fed by a separate pump and land ASAP.

Has done 14k miles and 5 months since last coil/plug/injector episode.

Dealer has been spot on to be fair, straight into a 330d LCI e92 for a few days.
