Alufelgen UK Group Buy
Following on from this thread
an Alufelgen UK Group Buy for both CS7 and SF-71s is in the offing. About Alufelgen Our wheels are manufactured using low-pressure casting, which is the same process used by Ronal to manufacture all their BMW OEM wheels. This results in a significantly stronger and lighter wheel when compared with Gravity Casting. We only use 6060-T6 aluminum and our wheels are powder-coated for durability and clear-coated for better appearance. All our setups are staggered as well. Our wheels are manufactured in Taiwan by one of Taiwan's most reputable factories using Italian low-pressure casting machines to manufacture only low-pressure cast wheels. They specialise in the OEM market only and thus carry very stringent quality standards, with over 50% of their production reaching the US-market. They carry ISO Certifications, Japan VIA and JWL Certifications and most importantly Germany TüV approval. CS7 We introduced our CSL wheel in September 2009 based on the market demand we saw for a CSL replica wheel that accurately resembles the OEM wheel in both quality and design. Available finishes; Gunmetal, Hyperblack, Matte Black NB. Silver is now sold out and won’t be available again for a couple of months so won’t be available for the group buy. Wheels are Front 19x8.5ET35 and Rear 19x9.5ET35. Front Wheel Weight: 25.4lb, Rear Wheel Weight: 26.2lbs It's confirmed by AluFelgen that no rubbing for E90 or E92 with this set-up on stock suspension. Also available in 19" 9.5ET20 offset. SF-71 The SF-71 carries an aggressive concave face, sharp edges and a unique spoke profile. The SF-71 takes cues from its brothers the VS7 and VS8. The front wheel has a very straight concave spoke profile while the rear wheel has a very deep and curved spoke profile. The face of the wheels was designed with the maximum possible spoke concavity while still allowing clearance for BBK. Based on the wheel size (8.5F and 9.5R), back spacing, offset and brake clearance, this is the maximum concavity a certifiable cast wheel can have. The concavity is deep and clearly pronounced and requires an elevated center bore due to the deep profile. The spokes are extended to the edge of the wheel to provide a cleaner and distinguishable look and are accentuated with a small outer lip and an attractive machining between the spokes. Currently only available in Matte Black Reviews Customer Review1 Customer Review 2 Customer Review 3 Customer Review 4 Customer Review 5 I'll try and upload pics of all finishes etc later on when I get time. We need to finalise numbers ASAP so we can get accurate total costs inclusive of shipping/duty/taxes. I suggest a cut-off point for the group-buy of Sunday 18th April so we can get things moving first thing Monday. As it stands, approx. cost will be £520-£550 for the CS7 sets in all available finishes depending on final order volume. The SF-71s will be approx. £700. Based on 5 sets air freight to Heathrow (5-7 days) - £168.81 per person Based on 8 sets sea freight to James’ warehouse in Croydon (approx 3 weeks lead time) - £116.00 per person If everyone indicates their preferred shipping method (cheaper sea freight/longer lead time or pay a bit more for quicker delivery via air freight) I reckon it would be best to go with the majority vote. I suggest it would be best for everyone to pay Alufelgen for wheels and shipping separately prior to shipment. We will have to finalise the payment of duties in due course. I hope this all makes sense, let me know what you all think The final Group Buy list looks like this (staggered fitment for E90/2 unless otherwise stated); PhilL - CS7 Gunmetal James_335i - CS7 Gunmetal creepy_coupe - CS7 Gunmetal BMW3seriesfan - CS7 Gunmetal Jay_Jay - CS7 Gunmetal 335i_Jeff - CS7 Hyperblack rsmallwo - CS7 Hyperblack jimmylimmy - SF-71 Matte Black mits - SF-71 Matte Black M3-FAST - SF-71 Silver/Hyperblack - M3 fitment Dawsey - CS7 Gunmetal Richbe - CS7 Hyperblack - M3 Fitment Last edited by PhilL; 04-21-2010 at 07:15 AM.. |

no silver cs7's......noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
bit gutted by that, however have been checking out the cs7's in hyperblack and they seem to look like a dark silver and have more bling about them. See links (excuse the sf-71 shots): http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6663262 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=359028 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349792 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=360227 http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=316822 http://s894.photobucket.com/albums/a...cts/AluFelgen/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/alufelgen/ (doesn't say on the pics what colour the wheels are ) Anyone got pics of cs7 Hyperblacks on e90/e92 that aren't listed above. Different lighting conditions aswell would be good. |

I'm just sat at Sytner on iPhone ATM, i'll post pics as soon as poss. Yeah SF-71s only available in matte black due to demand (unless any can be sourced through another vendor but this would complicate the group buy)
hyperblack is closest to silver and very hard to describe but like silver in sunlight with more pronounced shadows. |

Hi
Great post. Just spoke to my insurers & no extra increase in my premium! Woohoo! Just to confirm, is it just the vat to add onto the cost? Or have I missed something. |

The CS7s are pretty much identical to the OEM e46 CSL rims but in the correct fitment for e90/92. They have 8 spokes which kind of taper and 'blend' towards the rim.
The SF-71s have 7 spokes, which are straighter and come out all the way to the edge of the rim. |

Worth noting that the red M3 with the CS7s is running 9.5s all round the dish on the front wheels is normally the same as a standard CSL wheel if you go 8.5 front.
