This whole lazy approac bilstein has is really getting on my nerves and leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I've used their products on all of my previous vehicles and loved em. But this whole "dragging of the feet" approach, especially in this economy when most companies are screaming for sales is making me think twice about giving this company a penny of my money...

I don't see any of the Audi guys having this problem.

Especially because there is no more engineering to be done.
The parts are readily available in EU.
It's not like they have to re-engineer the front shocks just for North America...
IMO I would be happy if Bilstein filed for chapter 11. It would teach those pricks a lesson!!

And to put the icing on the cake, we don't know if the strut that's currently available is interchangeable between the e92 and e90

I know the guys at Balance Motorsports quite well - good guys, very reliable, but won't take responsibility for selling parts to the US..

However, I have the capability of organising a shipment of Bilstein sets for you Xi guys in the States, as long as there is enough interest. I do a lot of work with a tuning company here, and we are getting involved with Bilstein in a big way (getting a full PSS10 EDC system on both of our 335i coupes for evaluation, with a view to valving a custom set of shocks with springs to match for specific 135 and 335 UK road applications)...

I won't know pricing until I get an idea of how many sets you guys want. Also, we would ideally ship to one place, and you guys can distribute between yourselves. That way, the international shipping cost becomes vastly reduced. If you all want separate shipment, we will price accordingly.

So as a first stage, sign up below if you want these Bilstein dampers, and which ones you want... serious enquiries only though, as the last group buy I helped organise from the UK for you US guys fell apart when 60% of the people pulled out, or never bothered to respond... wasted a shit load of my time!!!

It really depends on how many sets we would be ordering from Bilstein... if we're talking over 5 sets, then the cost obviously comes down... the thing is, we have a bit of a bargaining chip with Bilstein at the moment - however I'm not going to keep going back to them asking if the price changes for x number of sets or y number of sets... I want to know how many people are potentially interested, then I can go to them with a definitive request...

Not trying to be difficult, it's just I've personally wasted a lot of time organising a previous gb for you US guys, at your request, and then for people not to bother to respond or refuse to pay customs duty etc

I'm only doing this Bilstein thing because there are one or two who have asked me directly, and I've agreed to help if I can
