I take it this proposed Group Buy won't be going ahead then? In that case, I'll let Bilstein know as they're asking me....

I can't speak for everyone else, but I am still interested.
I am just awaiting a review from another member that ordered these and should be installing them soon.

We dont get a warranty with these?? Correct??

Correct, there's no warranty, as these will be European stock, and not official US stock (as they're not imported to the US currently)

Installed last night - will have a few pics later in the week
the install was easy, nothing different then the stock ones. they are nice because they come with their own nuts to use, so you get to use fresh nuts to tighten everything down.

ride - they ride pretty awesome, the ride is much more firm then before ( 52K miles , 25k of which are with the H&R Springs). bumps are easy to go over, you hit a bumb, feel it, then back to smooth riding. before it woudl be a bit bouncy and sounds like something was about to break, lol.

i'm quite happy with them and i'll take some pictures soon as well, i didnt get a chance to yesterday.

talked with my friend and they are going to start looking into a group buy for these as well.

Nice. So, is there enough interest to do a group buy on these or what? I'm down for a set.

there is one problem, I called bilstein yesterday and they did advise me against importing the shocks, the real reason for the delay ( i talked to an engineer in R&D) is because the shocks are different here in the US. they are built for a crappier road system, he did say they have been hard at work with the b6 and b8 us shocks for quite some time, and they should be finished "soon"

Wow. Thanks for going above and beyond to get the low down. The US roads are definitely crappier. I would rock coilovers on anything in Germany. Let's hope "soon" means soon.

Update guys, I called Bilstein Na to check on those part numbers on the first page for the e90 models and was informed that they would have them in by late July!!! I spoke to a guy named Keith who said that they would probably be named Sport but in Europe they are named Sprint? He said that the prices would be on par with the non xi e90 shocks...$334 for front shock and $160 for the rear each. Thats the MSRP but they almost never list them for that much he said. So theres light at the end of the tunnel!!!
