How to test GPS antenna with multimeter?

Hi all. I recently bought the car and the GPS seemed to work. I now realise that was likely the gyro. I went in the iDrive service menu and that's where I found "no GPS available". From what I've searched there's a blue fakra connector behind the head unit and the rear seat for the GPS antenna. I think someone said you can test it with a multimeter but I'm unsure how. Some generic GPS antenna testing videos on Youtube say some are meant to test open for continuity and some closed. I'm trying to be conservative with my spending on this car, outside of mechanical issues that is. So was hoping I wouldn't have to shell out for a new sharkfin antenna just to test and to find it was the cable, and vice versa. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
