Canadian 323i Pre-LCI to LCI tune?

Hi all,

I was wondering, would it be possible to tune a pre-LCI 323i (174hp) to LCI power (200hp)? I'm pretty sure both versions of the n52b25 have the 3IM so I don't think/know if there are any hardware differences.

Would it even be possible to put a LCI stock map on a pre-LCI engine?

The different isnt pre lci to lci ; its 2006 (msv70 ecu) vs vs 2007-2011(msv80 ecu).

You cant just swap the tunes but bimmerlabs might be able to do a custom one for you. There are hardware differences (n52 va n52k) but none that effect the hp

Did this about 18 months ago to my 323i. I just used a stock tune from a 2006 325i 217hp. Not sure of the Canada spec but i assume they wouldn't be wildly different. It worked out really good. I made a thread on the whole process. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1757847

Thanks for the link! How's the tune been for you? Worth it?

Yeah, really good, better low down torque and an extra 40hp ( my 323i was rated at 177hp, the 325i is 217hp) Fuel economy has actually improved slightly. I can get 6.7L/100km on a open road trip now.
