E93 Key Fob RF Not Working - Correct Battery Voltage?

2007 E93, non-comfort access vehicle.

Key fob #1 works just fine, no issues. Key fob #2 will not remotely unlock/lock doors or trunk. However, when inserted into the ignition, car runs fine - AND, I do not get a low battery error on the instrument cluster. Tried recharging the battery on an inductive charger (iPhone dock) and no luck. Tried driving with #2 in ignition, but again no luck w/recharging.

So, I pried open the fob thinking battery was dead. However, a quick check with the multimeter shows 3.02v. Can someone confirm that this is the correct voltage? If the battery is, in fact, not the issue, then I wonder why the fob is not talking via RF to the vehicle. FWIW, this has been my back up fob, and did not get used as much in the past as it should have.

Am thinking I may just need to inductively charge it more than just overnight, but other than that I am stumped.

3.3 to 3.6
I seem to remeber measuring that on one before I changed it anyway.
You can get the CR2032's dirt cheap on amazon or ebay.
You should be able to look it up on google whatever it is.

Since the battery is.....15 years old, I think I'm probably just going to replace it, regardless of whether or not I can get it charged enough to function correctly. Amazon has the VL2020 batteries with the attachment pins already soldiered on for cheap, so why not.

Now if I only could have gotten 15 years out of my water pump....

Be careful of the tiny components that are on the Fob circuit board.
