As I mentioned before I raced a 5.0L w/ bolt-ons on tire and he ran low 13's.

I also ran low 13's FBO, but I had terrible 60' and was shredding tire all of my first and second gear lol.

At my local track a 5.0 with nothing more than 4:10gears and a intake/bama tune was running 11.8 on pump gas and street tires (255 in the rear)

that wasnt my point, drags are just drags from a roll it doesnt even matter.... E90company said he hasnt seen a 5.0 faster then 12s, so i posted this video. Imagine if the op raced from a 40 roll with a fbo 5.0, you still think the 335i would "walk it"? Even a stock 5.0 vs a 335i (modded) from a rolling start is no joke... From a dig the mustang has no grip, thats where the drags help

Not saying they are slow bud. Simply saying out of many FBO 5.0's at PBIR, I haven't seen one hit 11's without the bottle. Terry can hit low 12's with JB4 and DCI only. Does that mean everyone can? Of course not, results vary. Most FBO 5.0's run low 12's. What's your best time in an Xi? High 12's?

Idk man, fl is strange... my car ran like shit when i was down there, all the 5.0s that ran at MIR event that had just full ons ran between 11s to low 12s. Like you said you have seen them run those numbers and I have seen these. Im not going to come here and defend another car you know. I know this, i drive 5.0s more then i drive my 335. This is besides the point but my friend's fbo plus 100 shots ran low 10s, my other really good friend built supercharged ran 9s in a vert, auto. Like i said before im not here to defend mustangs or whatever, im just staying keep your eyes open you can't just walk them. Also I never had an opportunity to take my car to the strip but with my setup in def in the 11s... What are you running at the track?

now I M O! from a roll a modded 335i with the correct gear play would have there boost just perfect to absolutely dominate on a stock 5.0 and potentially beat even a modded one. from a dig we wont always have full boost yet at the right roll with a little skill you can potentially "launch" the vehicle from full boost be it 15, 16, 18 psi it would dramaticaly change the race. just my 2 cents and Im only saying this because I have done it, here we are very mustang heavy on the roads. they all get too happy with there loud exhaust.

not necessarily. I dont think they can offer catless downpipes. high flow-Catted downpipes wouldnt make much more horsepower.

I've met many modded 5.0s with good drivers. I've yet to lose to one. granted my FBO 335i is faster than average. modded m3s don't have much of a chance against me either. the point is there is no rule for 5.0 vs n54 it's anyone's game depending on mods and drivers

wrong.

don't run 6-speed tuned and bolted on 5.0's from a roll - they will crush your soul.

best thing to do is to get them from a dig....

here's my car in Sep 2011 versus an M6 Mustang 5.0.

Mustang: Bama Tune, steeda intake, x-pipe and 3" exhaust - 390hp/375ftlbs on a mustang dyno
BMW 335: Cobb tune at 16.4psi (before throttle closure), fmic and DCI's - 327hp/390ftlbs on a mustang dyno (Cobb's Facility in Austin)

from a roll i got worked pretty badly - but from a dig my second gear launches were waaaaaay to much for the 5.0 to handle.
