Take our entire Crews cars onboard the ferry (Spirit of Tassy), get off and tour the Island in Beemer style, camp overnight, cruise some more, then back onboard the ferry home. This one is a long weekender (Leave Friday evening, come back Monday) Will be a lot pricier but definitely a thrill of a trip. Seems to be a few people throwing their hands up for this already.
This will need to be done some time in the warmer months (Tassie is damn cold and winter is windy, freezing and no fun) so gives time to prepare the event.

A mixed car club (MMC) did this last year. They have some neat photos there. They are thinking of organising one this year too (we could piggyback and save the hassle? Or we could help out a bit here and there)

Pretty much never on the road. You can get unlucky driving in the bush.

I've lived in Tassie all my life except 2 years in Canberra. I've hit a roo/wallaby once. That was in Sydney!
