No regrets with my 328i. I'm actually really glad I didn't give in and pay the extra money for the 335i. I definitely don't need the extra power and I could spend the extra money on other things that would make me happier than an extra 70 hp.
I spend more time on my bike than in my car, and $3500 can buy me a lot of bike. Miles on car: 4,000 Miles on bike: 10,000 oh and another thing, I despise the chrome window trim on the 335i. I think it stands out too much. I'm so glad my 328i came with black window trim so I didn't have to replace it.

This is such an odd thread to me.
Budget will play into choices Driving style will play into choices Locale will play into choices. I could have afforded the 335 if I stuck with coupe or sedan. My 1st choice option on any car I was to get was the retractable hard top. 335 E93 would have put my budget over what I wanted to spend. I also came from a mommamobile and drove like a gramma ('97 suburban which I bought new). What did I need 300 hp for? I hated driving before I got this. Now, I look for excuses to take my car out. I got what I wanted for my budget, my driving style (which has morfed some) and my location. I commute one-mile each way, don't even go on a main street so traffic conditions are a nothing for me and getting up to 40 on the commute is speeding LOL What do you want in a vehicle? Will you track it? Will you cart other people or other toys? Fortunately, our other vehicle will cart anything we want AND pull our trailer. This purchase is for FUN, which my 328 is. Now, I just need springtime in the rockies to make my purchase complete!!! |

I had a 335 on order, after my car got totaled. It got delayed and I needed a car ASAP, so I took a 328 off the lot.
Do I regret it? Nope I still have a sizable savings from not having to make a larger down payment and that is nice. And after driving it for a few weeks, I find I've never craved extra power. It's nice to have every now and then, but I'm a moderate accelerate shift at 3,000 RPM type of driver, so it's not something I miss on a regular basis. |

I wish 328i sedans come with better looking sport package wheels. And they look smaller than 17 inchers.

its the same shit to me....if I want a 335 I'll just tell people its a 335 since 95% of the public has no clue what the difference is , but I wouldn't do that anyway I'm happy with my 325 its good enough for me and not to mention its modded out

It is like because something exists that some people think they need it!
I find the idea of TWO turbos ridiculous . I much prefer a car that I don't have to care about a turbo anyway (owned 2 before) - talk to some B5 S4 [ex-]owners. |

had my car for 8200 miles, 1500 with XEDE and have ZERO ISSUES I'll get back to you when its 82,000 miles, hopefully with the same response i have faith in my Bimmer and Lol that made me laugh fact of the matter is if you didn't get the 335i its because of financial issues, age (not responsible enough for the power) or because of insurance the fact that you guys get angry at 335i owners for loving their cars is.... well... who's the immature one? i'm happy with my extra 70 horses, spooling turbos... and would never downgrade and thats just me. the 328 is a nice car too. no need for all these hate posts lol a BMW is a BMW...

No one is hating on BMW. It's just that most people don't want or need 300 horses. (especially if you live in the US where there are cops everywhere) Unless you track your car. That's a different story. |

no regrets. i'm happily in love with my 328i. it was the best car i could afford at the time. money was the only reason i didn't get a 335, it was over my budget. if money was no issue, then sure i'd get a 335, pay more insurance, pay more on gas, probably get more speeding tickets, burn more rubber. . . . and if money was no object i'd just get the damn white 2008 M3. that car is just fucking hot.

I cry alone every night knowing that I have a weak 328i while everyone else out there is ballin' with their twin turbo 335s. I always think, why did I buy this car, I should've bought an EVO or STI or civic instead...
JK! I <3 my 328i. And while my friends 335s are in the shop for HPFP failures and other issues, my car is crusing down sunset lookin hot as always. I test drove a 335i and I admit the power is amazing but I dont need it for daily driving. Not to mention I dont need a $500+ car payment at this point in my life, but I'm perfectly content driving a BMW at age 21. Basic point, if I weren't happy with the 328i I would've bought something else (ie. G35 sedan 6MT). But what it came down to was the fact that a BMW is still the Ultimate Driving Machine, and I couldn't be happier. Now I just have to deal with people asking me "is that your 335?!" and I just smile and say, "Its a 328, but thank you!"

Ticket clinic got rid of it for me i love the horses, and think they are very practical if you got the money, use it I love my 335i... i'm sure you love your 328i cool... i would have been disappointed with a 328.. i almost got one and I'm very happy i didnt although i'm not hating on the 328 its beautiful and practical and a good car if you don't have the money i went from a 325 to a 335. I LOVED the 325... i'm just saying i'm happy i got the opportunity to upgrade

+1. That is my main reason for looking into the BBS Ch's. If the 328 came with 335 18" rims...I wouldn't be spending thousands to get new rims

I'm very happy with my pretty much optionless 328i, except for sportpackage and heated seats and I love driving my car. It would be nice to have the 335i and if I could afford it I would have that instead. But for now I'm content with my 328 and I'll try to get a preowned 335i or e46 m3 when my lease ends.

I guess I'm even lower on the totem pole because I "only" have a 325 e90. Yeah, it would be nice to have 300 horses and instant acceleration, but I drive in stop and go traffic every day so I really couldn't appreciate it. My car handles well and appears to be well built so that is fine for me, not to mention that sometimes I have to haul around my three kids. If I had unlimited cash and a place to really rev it up, I'd like a 335.

I sacrifice myself to the 328 people, feel free to feel superior to me, and treat me like some of these 335 people treat you.

If BMW had been nice enough to import an E91 diesel with a stick shift to the US, you betcha that's what I would have bought!

No regrets. I very rarely get the opportunity to run my 328i all out on a daily basis--the 335i would just be a waste for me. I live for the curves anyway.

who 'needs' power?? It's just fun to have it. Money is the issue for most people that bought a 328, regardless of what they admit here. They either didn't have, or didn't WANT to spend the extra cash....which is totally fine...but this whole not WANTING 300 hp is kind of laughable IMO.
