Does anyone know if those HD “720p” would work better? Or are we limited by the cic screen resolution

You're limited by the fact that it's a composite input which is inherently standard def.

Those of you have sucesfully installed this camera on E90 without PDC. Can you confirm if this the correct emulator and harness ?

I went through several posts and most of them have broken links.

I did see some post mentioning quality issue with one particular emulator. Not sure if it was this one. How long you had your installed ?

Just successfully installed using items from OPs post on a 2009 e93 328i AT with no PDC. Used a harness and pre soldered the emulator to the wire harness, twisting the CAN wires on the harness too.

Followed e93 installation video from BimmerTech, and just took my time on the install, took almost 4 hours.

Double checked also using the PDF wiring diagram in one of the posts.

Tucked the emulator to the left of CIC and the harness to the right.

Thanks to the OP and other contributors.

I ordered the items and am still awaiting arrival but since i had Bimmercode i tried coding the car (First time in expert mode):

In the CIC module, go into expert mode
Select 3001 EXBOX
and you will find each of the following options, set them as the original poster has stated!
MACRO_PDC: aktiv
MACRO_REARVIEW: aktiv
RVC_CIC: wert_23
MACRO_L6_PARKMENU: aktiv
PDC_DIRECTION: vertikal

As far as i can tell, adding option $3AG to the VO is not supported in Bimmercode. might still have to use NCSExpert, doing some more research!!

Mine has not arrived yet, but use the link i posted above. Based on my research it will work with CIC and PDC, actually AFAIK PDC or no PDC will not make a difference.

Just did mine last night worked like a top, 2006 with a CIC retrofit and no PDC, followed the instructions and works like a top.
