Driving directions to Nürburg, Germany from Garrabost, Lewis, UK:
1,087 mi – about 19 hours 44 mins

So over 2000 miles round trip.....would be worth it i believe!!!! Hope to see you soon there.
Blimey - that is a long way - easy solution: move to London that's what we did.

We used to live in Glasgow (just outside) and getting to the continent was basically a 2 day trip. From Wimbledon it's about 6 hours. I would imagine from Lewis it's going to be nearer a 3 day trip?

Lovely part of the world though. The only thing I miss about Scotland is the fantastic empty roads with the amazing scenery and so close to Glasgow as well. We've organised loads of car trips to Skye, Ullapool, Inverness ect.

We'll be organising another trip next year - probably to Skye again.

I know that. I wouldn't recommend anyone this kind of car washing procedure. I really needed to have it washed that morning because I was about to meet you guys and I couldn't show up with it as dirty as it was from the 20h road.... (Fortunately the ring sticker wasn't there at that moment )

Hi Tony! Yes, I'm back. I really enjoyed meeting you too! Thanks for organizing such a wonderful trip. I'm so sorry I couldn't have a passenger lap with you, next time I'll take some pills or something ....

Sorry to say but definately wouldnt be moving to london unless the company offer me more money than sense haha, i like the peace and quiet going old before my years i know haha.

The isle of Lewis and harris are beautiful and if you were planning going to skye i would definately be along, thats if i aint on the rig haha. You cant beat the roads on the island, not in this country anyway. If you get a nice day there is no better place to be in the country!!

Ed your car looks sooooo low. It's been dropped, slammed so much it's almost kissing pavement. Some serious G-forces going on there. Is that a Scooby behind you??

Hi Guys,
This is my first post so you wont know me.
I met some of you at the ring on my last trip, thanks for pointing me to this forum. I was in the E92 335i MSport with the BMW performance wheels.
I've done a lot of ring laps and always like a good trip so let me know when you're going again.
Cheers,
Tom

Yeah that was me. Second weekend was a bit cooler so better on track. Shame we didn't get a chance to do some laps together as I would have like to compare the two cars.
Catch you there next time.
Tom.

Things to do before I'm 40.

Surf J Bay, La Santa and Coxos
Do a full triathlon (not just a sprint)
Run a marathon (not just 10k off roaders)
Do a 'Ring mission with some Euro continent bashing thrown in.

Heres a crazy, ironic, oh-my-god-what-a-small-world-it-is type thang - im currently shooting over here in New York - went out to a big wrap party last night and as im about to walk into a club called "Bed" in the Meat Packers district (far too many puns there for you Will - so knock yourself out kiddo!!) i see a couple of AW E92 M3's parked up - one of them boasting a Ring sticker!! So im in the club and i ask a few people who the M's belong to and it turns out its one of the DJ's - so i go up to him and we get chatting - it turns out he was at the Ring (albeit not in his M3) the very same weekend we were all last there AND he says he actually came up to me in the car park to tell me how awsome my GT-R looked!!! Amazing small world. When i thought about it i do remember an American guy chatting to me and calling me "bro" etc!! He also said he was doing a passenger lap with his mate in a red E90 M3 and said that i came past him and his mate coming out of the Carousel like he was standing still - hilarious!!!! Great night by the way and can highly recommend Bed if anyones heading over to NYC. Speak soon amigos! Steve. Ps; how did you get on at the Ring Floyd???
