so here's what I believe to be the case.

the factory splines are twisted, slightly, and intentionally.
for NVH reasons.

My wife's volvo has clicking splines at the hub, it's just a known issue, and it seems BMW wasn't interested in that trash, so this is why I believe the OEM ones are impossible to seat without a puller.

if any coolant drains from the block you have to run the bleed.

I'd do it anyway ust to be sure.
is ten minutes of waiting worth the risk to your head?

We'll see hopefully I don't have to get a puller but that'll probably be the least of my worries with how much shit I'm changing out

Day 1 of 2 of a paint correction/detail/polish thingy my friend is doing for me. Just wanting to keep everything as nice as possible on this car. Btw, anyone got an LCI rear light, right hand side they want to sell to me? Mine has a couple of very small cracks that have come to light.

Washed it. Taking a trip up to a cabin then hitting curvy roads.

On a not so fun note think my injectors are going bad? Friend noticed a puff of black smoke on cold start today. Only have secondary cats. My turbos have also been smoking

That's a great looking e90. Most 330s out there nowadays are base models and pretty damn rough. Glws

Since day one it bothered me how the E90 got plastic handles regardless of leather interior when the E92 and M3 receive leather handles.

I think it really makes the whole interior look mor ehigh-end.
I also have some spare leather available if anyone else is interested in doing this.

Dude that looks much better. I have a full e90 beige interior at home and the first thing I noticed was the sticky plastic handles which I have no idea how anyone could live with on a daily basis. Glad my e92 came with leather on them.
Can you access the screws to get the door panel off if necessary?
yea nothing has been modified on the inner handle or glued on. just leather wrapped the outer piece like OEM e92 or m3 pieces.

I got it's winter storage space reserved. $95/month includes battery tender. I hate to put it away for the winter but DOT and the city use sooo much fucking salt on the roads here. They have even started using salt brine on the streets and they spray it on a day or two before its supposed to snow. Oh well, I'll feel better knowing its tucked away in the storage barn away from the salt.

I'm reminded of Clarkson driving across the desert in the Mazda (?) with his duel wheel creation.

Thank you!
I will make a thread on what I do/use.
In short,
Vacuum loose dust/debris.
Scrub with dish soap and water. Depending on how dirty it is, you may have to do this a few times. I use a soft bristle brunch that attaches to a drill to scrub.
Scrub with windex about 2 times.
Wipe with damp towel.
Clean with Lexol leather cleaner
Apply Lexol leather conditioner and done!

Trying to sort my xdrive light trifecta for the 2nd time

Took apart the actuator made sure the motor works, worm gear is in good shape aswell as the gear it drives, greased everything up. Now trying to figure out if I can test the actuator on inpa or if I need ista which well I'm trying to figure out how to install. I definitely need to get a laptop for these type of things lol.
