2011 328i Code out Angel Eyes Error - solved
I have searched multiple forums for my issue, and they all have information different than my car. I simply want to turn off the error checking on the angel eyes since I replaced mine with high powered LEDs. I get a constant error on the dash although the lights perform flawlessly.
I use NCSExpert and want to code the FRM module. Every site I look at says I need to change several parameters to nicht_activ for (FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_SL_V_R, KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_R, and WARMEUBERWACHUNG_SL_V_R). However, my FSW_PSW.TRC file does not have any of those parameters. The closest is CC_MELDUNG_SL_X_R, but the parameter is wert_01 instead of activ or nicht_activ. Am I in the wrong module (I checked FRM and NFRM). Anyone else see this before? Thank you. My full FSW_PSW.TRC is attached. Last edited by alcarmad; 01-02-2023 at 07:20 PM.. Reason: Solved |

Well, I guess I get to answer my own question: solution below. I used ncs_dummy and just read through all the light related codes.
I found one called ERR_SCHWENK_L_IGNORIEREN which was not active. Made me think, what if this if activated would ignore all errors on the headlights ( Angel eyes or not) ERR_SCHWENK_L_IGNORIEREN nicht_aktiv ERR_SCHWENK_R_IGNORIEREN nicht_aktiv I changed these to aktiv. I also set these which were aktiv to nicht_aktiv: WARMUE_FL_M2_6_M1_04 KALTUE_FL_M2_6_M1_04 Saved the .MAN, coded the FRM and it appears to have worked. Maybe this might help someone else.
