Software update

I have a 2011 335d and smog is due. I had an appointment to bring it in and as luck would have it my check engine light came on. The car doesn’t like going to the doctor I guess...the two reoccurring codes are 3FF1 “mass air flow sensor” and 4AD5 “fuel adaptation”. The 3FF1 I’m assuming can be fixed by coding or a software update, as the MAF is a new OEM Bosch unit. The fuel adaptation codes are defiantly fixed by a software update, as there are BMW service bulletins regarding them. My question is, what are my options for a software update aside from getting charged $300 in labor by the dealer for a DDE update?

Why do you keep posting on my threads with zero useful information. Get a life. There is a factory update for the DDE regarding the 335d to fix a injector bug for adaptation which has not been done. There are multiple threads about it.
