HID Foglights-Glare? Problem?

I am going to get an HID kit for my e90. Curious if anyone who has done so has had problems with lights scattering or glare. Do you get blinked at alot?

Bimmian had a projector housing for the fogs which is tempting but obviously more cash.

I would get projector fogs, and do yourself a favor, if you want to save some money, don't get your HID kit from bimmian. That's highway robbery. Get it from HighPerformanceBulbs.com Now, back to the projector fogs, I've heard that those bimmian projector fogs are pretty miserable when it comes to cutoff/light scatter (low-quality projectors) so it might be worth it to get in contact with a retrofitter http://www.theretrofitsource.com/rec...trofitters.php tell them what you want, and ship them your existing fog light housings. They can get it done for you.

Yea I was actually looking at theretrofitsource for the HID kit since I hear great reviews on the kits they sell. If the scatter and falloff isnt too horrible on the stock housing I'll just do that. Anyone have pics of stock fogs with HId maybe against a wall or something?

Any troubles with oncoming vehicles?

It'll only be a problem if you aim them too high.

+1 for staying away from Bimmian. Some of their products are marked up alot.

Been using 6000K HID Fogs from HPB for a while now, never had anyone flash my their hi's - but they match my 6000K D1S and light up the sides of the road well

Are those kits good quality? Jeff is always pushing them. Curious since you have them. I was looking at these

http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=3955

They look like really good quality. Was gonna do 4300K to match the stock HID.

Well, let me put it to ya this way, the components are all hi quality, but on my 09' even the CanBus ballasts that are not supposed to throw error codes - did

They tried sending me new ballasts in the off chance that was problem - but it wasn't. I ended up just coding out the cold/warm bulb checks for the fogs and that solved the problem.

There are many others that did not have a problem with them throwing errors - so it must be that some cars are just more sensitive than others...

Other than that, they have worked flawlessly since installed.

I plan to code out the fogs anyway to avoid errors etc.

And I want to get 4300K to match the stock low beams, and still have some sort of warm light. I had 6k, 8k and even 12k before on previous cars, and IMO the bluer color wasnt worth the lumen loss.

So 4300k and Coded out. Think I'm gonna check out the HPb and the retrofit ones I listed.

The HPB fog light kit is of higher quality as well as the bulbs. It has a very nice cut off point so they wont glare even in a non projector housing.
