HIDs in aftermarket projector headlight units
I'm looking to replace my standard halogen headlights with some new aftermarket projector headlights.
I know I can use my existing H7 nightbreaker headlight bulbs in them but just wondering if anyone with aftermarket projector headlights has put in HIDs instead of halogen bulbs. If so what is the beam pattern like and any issues, etc?

A reflector for an incandescent bulb with a HID bulb in it will scatter the light everywhere. The light needs to be focused properly and probably the most important factor is blinding oncoming cars when the road undulates. A factory xenon/HID unit has a sensor that adjusts the angle of the beam and keeps it as level as possible. An aftermarket HID projector does work to a certain extent, but there's no doubt that they blind others without being self leveling.
