Reeves Motorcars in Tampa & BMW RULES>>>Update!!
Hi all:
Took in my Brand New 335 for an Oil & filter change AND to get CD player Fixed... Car has 1,200 miles--They say CD will cost $$1,000.00 to fix--it stopped working at 6 days old. Aparently wife put more than 1 cd in player Considering it was a mistake could not BMW/North America "Take One for the team"??<30days...? BMW Is Soooo Nice...I love BMW!!! could not BMW/North America [B]"Take One for the team"?? They did ,they did... Thank You, BMW Yours Truly, Your Loyal Subects... MR & Mrs Gunn... I don't think you can blame BMW for a mistake your wife made. That's a bummer, but you're going to have to pay to have it fixed. If you drove your car into a tree do you think BMWNA is responsible under the warranty

your wife shived an extra cd in the player and you want BMW to fix it for you? by the way bmw arent the ones who will pay for your drool on herself wife, its us the customers
i for one dont want to pay for her, and if you paid for her you should probably bring her back for a refund oh and to be slightly helpfull, just get the 6 cd changer installed, be cheaper than fixing it

No they shouldn't "take one for the team". Your wife broke it, why should they have to pay to fix it? If I drop my new laptop off the counter should Dell/HP/Alienware have to take one for the team as well?

I don't think that we as BMW owners can have the cake and eat it too in this one... we smack dealers up in full threads when they really provide mediocre service but expect at the same time that they have to "Take One for the team" when a warranty condition is violated by us to the tune of a $1000.
The dealer has to justify to BMWNA this "malfunction" to get reimbursed the cost of replacing this radio under warranty. How they are going to do that? Once BMWNA get the radio for warranty corroboration inspection they are going to find two CD's in a single CD slot, for God's sake... Wear and tear it isn't... |

in all fairness though guys, one CD had "breath in breath out breath in breath out" and the other cd had "gas is on the right brake is on the left, gas is on the right brake is on the left"
you cant really ask her to choose between breathing and driving the car can we? its jojos fault for not getting her a 6 cd in the first place

goes in the trunk, operates independant of the reader in the main unit, ask someone who has it if its a 4th selection after aux cd and tuner, if it is it will surly work, if nto it probably still will

If I was looking at a big bill, I would get out my screwdriver, take it apart myself, remove the CDs and go from there.
Who knows...it may start working again. I can't imagine that 2 CDs would actually break anything. I bet they are just stuck in there.
