Thanks again Craig!

Combox is now in and working couresty of Wibbles & his coding genius!

I have all the basic functionality now (Bluetooth audio, text messages on screen etc) but as mentioned a CIC firmware flash is needed to update the displays & enable apps / internet.

Hopefully that will also give me 7 didgit postcode search at the same time & I'll try & get the maps updated too!!

Craig also added USB to my arm rest too, which is another great addition!

Very happy!

Update...

The winters are on!

Overall I'm happy with them, but despite the research I did, and the rears being set 3mm further into the arch, the rear tyres catch the arch liner on big dips!

It seems that winters, and especially Michelin's, run wider & are far chunkier than summers. To cure this I have ordered some new 235/40 rears which will cure it!

Overall I'm happy! The performance over the last few days where it has been very cold / frosty has been significantly better than it would have been with the summer set up still on the car!

Brakes are fine.!

The motivation for buying the F8x winters was that I knew the 18" would clear, as my calipers are the same as M3/M4

Looks great! More pictures needed I've just installed my winters too! Went for 225/40/18's all round on my 270m instead of the OEM 235/40/18 to cure arch rubbing and its worked well! Bonus as cheaper tyres too

Have you found any more info with regards to getting rear blue Brembo calipers to fit e9x?

Superb on the winters. They look good and really suit the E91.

I've just got mine back yesterday and I'll be fitting my new winters before it goes for the respray. Glad you've found them beneficial already.

What have you gone for in terms of winters?

The 640M's are growing on me, but I can't help but think they would look better in a dark grey?!

I got a deal on THESE.

They'll do as are for this year etc and then maybe a refurb in something a little different.

Spot on, I Presume they are 19"? What tyre sizes are on them?

Are you not worried that they may look lost in your new arches? They are not M3 offsets?

Finally got the car cleaned today, but just as I was finishing, it started going dark - so excuse the grainy pics!

Anyway, here are some more pics of the new winter set up!

Finally got my CIC firmware updated to V41 (via ICOM) to allow option 6NR to be coded.

So now I have apps etc to complete the Combox retrofit.

Quick pic showing full Spotify integration!

Thanks to Craig at BR Diagnostics & Retrofits for doing a great job as ever!

Hey, so what was your original set up before the combox/usb install by wibbles, was it only the mulf unit with CIC? Did you just purchase the combox, wire block and usb kit from ebay?

This is high up on my list so looking at all the info I can on this. Thanks.

Stahliniho.

James had the CIC with TCU only with BT, no USB.

combox, PNP harness, usb/AUX retrofitted and CIC flashed to V41 firmware for option 6NR Apps.

Well, its the end of the road for the E91.....

I'll be collecting a F11 5 series Touring this month. Another 25d, this time a 3.0 N57 with the 8speed auto.

Car is now not going at all - I have had a bellyful today!

Long story short, BMW sold me a car that they had literally just had in as a trade in - shocking service has lead to me paying a deposit, driving down to view it and having finance approved on a car that they have now just discovered requires nearly £3k of repairs to get it through AUC, and now they dont want to sell it as it will loose them money.

So the E91 is now staying & I'm having my deposit back.

I'm livid.

Damn. That's shitty. Why they didn't know the amount of work required before agreeing a sale is beyond me. And tbh once the work is done they'll struggle to recoup that anyway so should just take the hit.

Sorry to hear your news, I'm sure it very disappointing for you!

Who ever appraised the car will be getting brought over the coals for it I'm sure, but to be honest you're maybe better not having a car that cost (probably a minimum of) £3k to get right.

Do you know the work carried out?
