2D2E & 30FE code

As the title states I have this code that doesn’t seem to go away ever since I did my coils and plugs. I changed the pcv, put an aluminum VC and new oem gasket, checked the throttle body oring. Did a smoke test and there’s no leaks.

At times I’ve noticed also get the 30FE code when in high gears and I slightly step on it.

If anyone can guide me here it’ll be appreciated.

Car is single turbo if it matters

even if this is not the issue, you might want to get the N20 one.

But before check if the MHD (or jb4 if you have it) settings are NOT for the 4 bar TMAP. You have an option for that.

the stock one is ''reliable'' between 19-23psi, if you are in that range, I would definitely change it. It's cheap.

Dont bother to get the conversion plug, simple reverse the wiring order on the stock connector, pretty simple, I did it with a pick.

It’s funny because I was looking through my stuff earlier and found a new map sensor but I think this is a stock map sensor not a 3.5. Usually the 3.5 is stamped with 3.5.

Also make sure in MHD to check off the 3.5 TMAP sensor in the options when flashing.

But yes the Stock TMAP sensor is only good up to 20 psi I believe. Anything over and you'll get over boost codes.

Your boost target wants to taper and your single wants to push past that. What tune are you running?

I haven’t changed it yet I’m going to try to do it this wknd.

The tune in the car is a custom tune, it was from when the previous owner owned the car.

Im currently speaking to David Shoup and he said “Looks like either the car went into cat protection or the AFR is set too rich up top in the tune. It also started to pull timing at the top of 4th.”

I might have to just retune the car from zero

I didn't even read the graph fully but your rail pressure dips in the upper RPM. What type of fueling have you done to your car?

I would definitely get it retuned. Or get a JB4.

I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews for the jb4, what’s the reason for your recommendation?

It was just easier to plug and play rather than having a tuner. When I upgraded turbos I loaded the Hybrid BEF and all was well. You can mess around with map 6 and create your own custom map if you're adept at doing so, and it's fairly easy.

i agree, this is more an DIY option, a lot of people running this for years, tons of info.

yes it's easy to mess up, and people got issues and you'll probably wont get every Hp from your setup, but it's a nice and different option.

Gotcha car has a custom tune but for some reason I think this isn’t the final revision, I think the previous owner messed with the tune on MHD. Who knows I think I’ll just have to retune it.
